As well as the broken and old window textures I took for the website, I started trying some more artistic angles and like how they turned out.

Of course they were edited in Photoshop.

We're still trying to find our feet. Who are our members? What do they do? What do they do with the textures and photos they download? Do they use them for personal or commercial/professional projects?

The answers to these questions are really important as it helps us decide what to add ...

I am fairly competent with Photoshop and have created many textures myself but would like to add many more.
Went for a 4 night break in a village called Slaggyford on the edge of The Lake District, Newcastle and Yorkshire.

Ive added 50 new textures to isourcetextures.

Here are just some personal photos I took, we were driving along the snakey road which follows the long lake and noticed a mist on the waters surface, the skies were clear so there was a good reflection on the water too.

Edited in Photoshop

Anyway, its not quite where I wanted to go with the application but Im quite pleased with the result, I didnt set off wanting to make wheat but thats what I ended up with and dont ask me how I got there!

Post work in Photoshop and FilterForge.

Monday was THE most frustrating day of my life!

I upgraded my camera to the Fuji Finepix S200 EXR recently.

I went to Liverpool on Sunday and spent hours walking around the back streets of the city and taking shots.

Monday I came to open and edit them only to find the format was not RAW but RAF which is unique to Fuji and the older camera I had of theirs was fine. I could not open the RAF files at all.

I spent 7 hours scanning google for solutions and downloading plugins and ...

For a long time I have seen Fractals on the Internet and loved them, some are so rich in colour and depth, they reminded me of the artwork by Eni Oken. She combined photos of reliefs with 3D rendered elements of beautiful rich gold ornamental patterns. Sadly she no longer makes textures and turned her hand to the art of jewelry creation.

For a long time I have wanted to be able to recreate that kind of rich ornamental artwork for game textures and having seen recent creations from users ...

We have changed the forums recently to have more "feature rich" options.

It's taken me a little while to get used to the admin of a forum , having never created one before and hardly been much of a forum user in my life in the first place. That said, I am delighted at how it seems to be coming together and there seems to be a ton of options and features to activate if desired. It may take me a while to get my head around it all totally and if these forums become very busy I have ...
